GREELEY, Colo. (AP) — A group specializing in searches for missing children is organizing ground searches for a sixth-grader missing since March 28.

Officials and volunteers with the Laura Recovery Center for Missing Children over the weekend searched the Greeley area for 12-year-old Kayleah Wilson. She disappeared while walking about a mile to a friend's house for birthday party.

Searches were to continue Monday.

The center has assisted with searches nationwide, including in 2002 when it organized thousands of volunteers to search for missing Salt Lake City teenager Elizabeth Smart. It was founded by the family of a 12-year-old Houston area girl who went missing in 1997.
