FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) -- Authorities say a Loveland man accused of attacking two female hikers northwest of Fort Collins is suspected of being a man on a motorcycle behind attacks in Loveland and Larimer County.

Thirty-nine-year-old James Jud Bondsteel faces 16 additional felony charges, including robbery, menacing and attempted assault for three incidents in March and May of 2009.

Bondsteel is currently being held without bond for charges on the attacks on the two women who were hiking in the Roosevelt National Forest northwest of Fort Collins on Sept. 13. That trial is scheduled May 24.

The new charges announced Friday stem from two women who reported being assaulted and robbed May 16 by a man on a motorcycle who showed a gun and attempted to sexually assault them, and similar reports from Loveland in March 2009.
