BRIGHTON, Colo. (AP) -- Brighton police say they arrested a 55-year-old man in a crash that killed a 2-year-old girl from Rock Island, Ill.
Police said Thursday that James Diggs, of Ann Arbor, Mich., was arrested after being released from a hospital Wednesday afternoon.
Police say he's being held on charges of careless driving causing death and careless driving causing injury.
Police say 2-year-old Aileen J. Rodriguez was in her child safety seat in a minivan that was stopped on the shoulder of Interstate 76 in Brighton, Colo. Police say the minivan was struck Tuesday night by a truck driven by Diggs.
