BRECKENRIDGE, Colo. (AP) -- The Breckenridge Resort Chamber is warning ski resort visitors that they could lose their season passes for at least two years if their behavior gets out of hand the rest of this season.

Breckenridge Ski Resort spokeswoman Kristen Petitt confirmed the penalty for anyone asked to surrender a pass this spring.

Town police say they are especially looking out for abusive behavior Thursday. Locals have taken to calling April 1 "Gaper Day," which in past years has seen some skiers and snowboarders hurling snowballs or obscenities at tourists and illegally bringing alcohol or marijuana on the mountain.

Arapahoe Basin Ski Area general manager Alan Henceroth says more Summit County sheriff's deputies also can be expected at A-Basin.
