COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs police officers were dispatched to Bluffs Wine and Liquors, 3609 Austin Bluffs Pkwy, #26, in regards to a robbery in progress Tuesday night about 8:30.
A victim on scene said the robber had stabbed him in the chest. Once at the hospital, it was found that the blade had broken off and was still inside the victim’s chest. The victim had surgery and the blade removed. The victim is expected to make a full recovery.
The suspect was described as a white male in his late twenties or early thirties, 5 feet 9 inches tall, approximately 170 pounds, blond short hair, wearing a black-and-grey winter-style coat, grey jogging pants and white tennis shoes.
The suspect took an undisclosed amount of currency. The area was checked for the suspect was he was not found.
The investigation is ongoing.
