DENVER, COLO. (AP) -- Authorities say two people are dead after police and Adams County sheriff's deputies opened fire on a stolen pickup that tried to ram patrol cars and then crashed.
Investigators haven't said whether the deaths were caused by gunfire or the crash.
No officers were hurt.
A third person in the pickup was taken into custody.
The incident occurred early Friday in unincorporated Adams County just north of the Denver city limits.
Sheriff's Sgt. Candi Baker says deputies and police began tracking the pickup when it was reported stolen at about 2 a.m.
The pickup was equipped with a tracking device.
Baker says two officers opened fire when the pickup rammed three marked patrol vehicles, and the pickup then crashed into a retail greenhouse.
No names have been released.
