DENVER (AP) -- The National Collegiate Athletic Association has yanked a Focus on the Family ad from one of its Web sites.

Bob Williams, an NCAA spokesman, said Wednesday the move came after some faculty and athletic directors expressed concerns that the Focus on the Family stance against gay relationships conflicted with the NCAA's policy of inclusion regardless of sexual orientation.

The ad was not on that subject. It featured a father and son and the words, "All I want for my son is for him to grow up knowing how to do the right thing."

Focus on the Family spokesman Gary Schneeberger says the ad should not be considered hate speech.

Focus on the Family scored a publicity coup earlier this month with a 30-second Super Bowl ad featuring Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow.
