Compassion Internataional (CI) has released information about two events set to honor David Hames and his family.
Hames' body was found in the rubble of the Haiti earthquake earlier this month while hundreds of people held out hope that he would be found alive. He was an employee of CI where he worked as a videographer. He was killed in the collapse of the Hotel Montana.
A free benefit concert is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 26, at Vanguard Church, 3950 N. Academy Blvd.
Desperation Band from New Life Church, Nate Rees, and Fike & Dana will perform in a worship event for both the Hames' family and the CI Haiti Relief Fund. The concert begins at 6 p.m. A free-will offering will be collected.
In addition, a memorial service for Hames will be held Saturday, March 6, at Vanguard Church. The time has not yet been announced.
