COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO, -- A one year old neutered Schnauzer mix named Eddie is looking for a loving family to adopt him.
Eddie came to the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region from Los Angeles with a number of other small-breed dogs.
Animal shelters around L.A. are experiencing a high volume of small-breed dogs because their popularity has increased during the last few years.
Many of these dogs are being euthanized because there are simply too many of them and not enough homes.
Pet Airways, an airline that specializes in transporting pets, flew the dogs from the L.A. area to Colorado.
Those dogs are now ready to be adopted.
Adoption fee for Eddie and the others is $120.
