COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- A 5-week investigation by the narcotics division of Colorado Springs Police Department came to an end Saturday with the arrest of Jose Cardona-Delgadillo by undercover offices.

Officers arrested Cardona-Delgadillo at 1236 Potter Dr., Apt. A, after multiple previous undercover purchases and during negotiations of a future purchase of methamphetamine.

Cardona-Delgadillo was taken into custody in possession of a .380 caliber pistol after he delivered ¼ pound of methamphetamine to undercover detectives.

A subsequent search of the residence located two additional firearms and three illegal aliens.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials were contacted and took custody of Francisco Javier-Mandeville, Sergio Lopez-Escobedo and Jose Dolores Cabral-Rios, who are expected to be deported.

Acohol, Tobacco and Firearms officials also responded and plan to pursue federal drug and weapon charges against Cardona-Delgadillo.

The recovered methamphetamine has an estimated street value of $62,800.
