COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs firefighters are investigating a fire at an apartment complex. It happened around midnight Friday at the Vineyard Apartments on Bodega Point, near Woodmen Road and Rangewood Drive.
When firefighters arrived on scene, flames could be seen on the patio of a first-story unit.
Officials say the fire blew out the apartment's windows, but thanks to the activated sprinkler system inside it did not spread indoors.
All the residents of the building were alerted by the building's fire alarm and no injuries were reported.
One family of two adults and one dog were displaced due to damage, and the Red Cross was activated to assist with the family's needs.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
