COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Just after 5:15 p.m. Wednesday, Colorado Springs police reponded to report of a burglary in progress at Walgreens at 4315 Centennial Blvd.
The suspect was described as a white male, 40 to 45 years old, wearing a heavy, dark-colored coat and dark knit stocking cap. He was also wearing glasses and had a goatee.
According to police, the suspect entered Walgreens and went to the cash register and implied that he had a weapon. The suspect allegedly reached into the cash register, held it open and instructed the cashier to place all the money in a Walgreens bag.
The suspect left with an undisclosed amount of money. No weapon was seen.
Due to numerous customers in and about the business center, no canine unit track was attempted.
