DENVER (AP) -- Voters who want to participate in this year's political caucuses have a deadline coming up.
Tuesday is the final day for voters to designate a political party if they want to play a role in that party's caucuses.
The March caucuses are a first step in how parties choose policy positions and candidates for U.S. Senate, governor and other top positions.
There are some 6,000 neighborhood caucus meetings expected on March 16. Colorado presidential caucuses broke attendance records in 2008.
