COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Two separate armed robberies took place at two 7-11 stores early Sunday, one at about 3 a.m. and the other at approximately 5 a.m. The first was at the 7-11 store at 5 S. Circle Dr.; the second was at 2555 Delta Dr.

According to police, four suspects entered the store and physically assaulted the clerk while pointing a pistol and demanding money. The clerk was able to get a vehicle description, which was aired to police officers.

A canine police unit saw the suspect vehicle leaving and conducted a traffic stop.

Five suspects were arrested, including two adults and three juveniles. The adults are identified as Benito Castillo, 23, and Edward Castillo, 21

Items from the Pike Peak 7-11 robbery and Delta Dr 7-11 robbery were recovered. The pistol used in both robberies was also recovered.

All five persons from the vehicle have been charged in the two 7-11 robberies on this date.

Additionally, new information released connects some of these suspects to three robberies last weekend, including those at the First Wok, China Buffet and Best Checks Cashed.
