FLORENCE, Colo. (AP) -- The Civil Air Patrol is helping Florence police look for a woman who was last seen Saturday by a neighbor outside her apartment, about eight blocks north of the Arkansas River.

Police detective Michael De Laurentis says the family of 49-year-old Beth Rice reported her missing Sunday, after she missed church. The family says it's out of character for her to not talk with them.

Her personal belongings and vehicle are still at her apartment, where she lives alone.

The Civil Air Patrol says two aircraft, each with three crew members, were looking for signs of her Monday.
