RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — A third version of a report about the Virginia Tech massacre is being released because university officials say the previous report contained errors.
The revised report was released to the public Wednesday. University officials say the previous report released last month said the school president's office was locked down after April 16, 2007, shootings. The revised report says the doors remained opened during the shootings.
Also, the report previously said two school employees told family members about the shootings before the rest of the campus was notified. The report now gives more details about those conversations.
Some parents are upset with the revised report and want it changed further.
The Roanoke Times obtained a copy of the revised report Tuesday.
