COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- A 31-year-old man was seriously injured in a one-car rollover crash at approximately 2 a.m. Thursday on southbound I-25 at the Motor City Curve.
The unidentified man was admitted to Memorial Hospital Central and listed in critical and unstable condition, with life-threatening injuries, according to police.
The male driver was the only occupant of the vehicle and the investigation revealed that high speed and possible alcohol were factors in the incident.
The vehicle left the roadway and traveled more than 500 feet, rolling several times and struck and disabled a Colorado Department of Traffic camera pole to the west of the interstate.
The name of the driver is being withheld pending notification of family members.
