BOULDER, Colo. (AP) — Boulder County coroner's officials say they can't definitively say whether a pedestrian who died on U.S. 36 this month jumped or fell from an overpass.

University of Colorado senior Transito "Tito" Eduardo Torres died Dec. 3. Boulder police said after an initial investigation that Torres may have jumped, partly because his footprints were the only ones they found in the snow.

Coroner Tom Faure said Tuesday that the official manner of his death was ruled "undetermined." He says Torres died of a combination of the injuries from the fall and from being hit by an SUV on the highway.

Faure says the family in the SUV couldn't say whether Torres jumped or fell.

Faure says tests indicate Torres had a .15 blood-alcohol level when he died.
