DENVER (AP) -- Unemployment in Colorado fell slightly last month, dipping just below 7 percent.

The state's November jobless rate of 6.9 percent remains well below the national unemployment rate last month of 10 percent. Colorado's unemployment rate was 7.0 percent in October. In November of 2008 the rate was 5.4 percent.

The number of Coloradans with jobs rose by 6,300 in November.

Job growth wasn't seen everywhere, though. State labor officials said Friday that the unadjusted unemployment rate rose in 52 counties, fell in seven and remained the same in five.

The highest unemployment rate last month was in Crowley County at 14.4 percent. Cheyenne County had the lowest at 2.8 percent.
