FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) — Prosecutors say no charges will be filed in the case of a 14-year-old girl struck and killed by an SUV while she was riding her bicycle in Fort Collins in August.

Police had recommended that the driver be charged with failure to render aid, but district attorney's spokeswoman Linda Jensen says the charge couldn't be proven in court.

Police say 38-year-old Christopher Chad Christian was driving the SUV when it struck the girl at about 6:30 a.m. Aug. 20. Christian was eastbound, and he and other drivers say the rising sun made it hard to see.

The victim was Urangua "Sisi" Mijiddorj.
