Fort Carson deputy commander promoted to general

FORT CARSON, Colo. (AP) -- A deputy commander of Fort Carson's 4th Infantry Division is being promoted to brigadier general.

Col. James Pasquarette will be formally promoted in a ceremony on Friday.

He is deputy commander for support for the 4th Infantry, which includes four brigades of 3,500 to 4,000 soldiers each. He has also served as executive officer to the Army chief of staff and as commander of 4th Infantry's 1st Brigade.

He graduated from Furman University and has masters degrees from Harvard, the School of Advanced Military Studies and the Army War College.
