Fatal crash in Pueblo Wednesday kills pedestrian

PUEBLO, COLO. -- A 50-year-old pedestrian who was running across a street in Pueblo was struck and killed by a pick-up truck driven by Timothy Presgraves, 28, on Wednesday about 6:30 p.m.

Initial investigation determined a Ford Ranger pick-up truck was traveling westbound on Abriendo Avenue in the left lane and was passing Union Avenue. The pedestrian was mid-block and outside the area of any crosswalk, according to police.

The truck hit the pedestrian, who was taken to Parkview Hospital after the incident where he died. His name has not been released pending notification of relatives.

The initial investigation has indicated that alcohol was a factor with the pedestrian only.

The investigation is ongonig to determine the speed of the pick-up truck.
