DENVER (AP) — A winter storm is forecast to bring strong winds and widespread snowfall to western Colorado.

Southwestern Colorado is expected to see the most snow, with up to 30 inches expected by Tuesday. A blizzard warning is in effect for areas including Crested Butte, Telluride, Ridgway and Ouray.

The National Weather Service says between 14 and 28 inches are expected in the north central Colorado mountains through Wednesday morning.

Occasional light snow is expected in the Denver area on Monday but more is expected overnight and Tuesday.
