Man arrested for domestic violence on Saturday

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs police arrested Todd McKeel, 41, Saturday afternoon after witnesses reported seeing a man force a woman into a vehicle on the north side of McDonald’s at 324 E. Fillmore St. at approximately 9 a.m.

The suspect vehicle left the area driving northbound on Stone Avenue and was later recovered unoccupied and impounded at King Soopers at Centennial Boulevard and Fillmore Street.

Investigation revealed the incident stemmed from an alleged domestic violence situation between the victim and her ex-boyfriend, McKeel.

McKeel was taken into custody at approximately 2 p.m . at 531 N. 30th St. at the Eagle Stop convenience store.

McKeel is being charge with second-degree kidnapping, aggravated robbery, and third-degree assault.
