COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- The El Paso County Health and Environment Department held a flu shot clinic Tuesday afternoon and ran out of the vaccine long before the scheduled closing time of 8 p.m.
The public is advised not to travel to Harrison High School, the site of the clinic, tonight, as all vaccine supplies have been committed to people already standing in line.
People lined up at the high school starting at 12:30 p.m., three hours before the clinic opened at 3:30. It was set to open at 4 p.m.
According to EPHDE staff, there were 200 people in line by 1 p.m. By 5 p.m., 1,052 vaccinations were given.
The next flu shot clinic for high-risk priority groups is set for Thursday, Nov. 19, at The Hangar, located at 6436 S. Hwy. 85/87, Suite R, in Fountain.
