Colo. lawmakers reviewing tax breaks

DENVER (AP) -- Colorado lawmakers are targeting tax breaks to balance the state budget.

The Joint House and Senate Finance Committees are meeting Thursday on a $1.3 billion shortfall in state revenue over the next year.

Gov. Bill Ritter wants to eliminate 13 tax breaks and credits in next year's budget. Some lawmakers say there are 87 others that can be considered.
