Two women injured, shots fired at houses Saturday

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Two women sustained minor injuries when one or more stray bullets fired Saturday night in the area of Conosa and Granada streets struck and broke the windshield of the car they were driving in.

Minutes before, they saw occupants of a dark-colored sedan allegedly firing a weapon from the suspect vehicle at a house located at 1623 Conosa Dr.

Police investigating the incident discovered the house at 2623 Conosa Dr. had bullet-hole damage from shots fired into the structure. Numerous shell casings and a bullet fragment were recovered from inside the house and from the street in front of the house. Nobody inside the residence was injured during the shooting.

In addition, the house at 1633 Carmel Dr. sustained damage from seven rounds going through the area above the front door and a bedroom window. No occupants were injured. One caller reported the driver of a grey Toyota Camry was shooting at the house.

Both females were treated and released for minor injuries.
