Suspect allegedly sold cocaine to a detective
COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- An undercover narcotics investigation resulted late Tuesday afternoon in the arrest of Omar Caro, 37, for distribution of cocaine.
Colorado Springs Police Department detectives executed a search warrant at Caro's apartment at 175 N. Murray Blvd. about 5:30 p.m. after he allegedly sold cocaine to an undercover detective.
At the apartment, detectives seized nearly 150 grams of cocaine, a quantity of methadone, two handguns, and more than $1,700 in cash.
Caro was booked into the Criminal Justice Center on a $50,000 bond for distribution of a Schedule II controlled substance.
Police report a total of 179 grams of cocaine valued at $17,980 was seized during the investigation.
