PUEBLO, COLO. -- Pueblo Police Department Tuesday arrested Perry Lohnes, 24, in connection with the murder of Brian Swartz. Lohnes has been charged with accessory to first-degree murder.
Swartz's body was found on Friday, Sept. 4, buried in a shallow grave in western Pueblo County.
Lohnes is the common-law husband of Priscilla Mitchell and is suspected of helping dispose of Swartz's body.
Others arrested include Swartz's common-law wife, Sonia Mitchell; her sister, Priscilla Mitchell; and Eloy Varos, boyfriend of Priscilla Mitchell.
Preliminary examination of Swartz's body suggested he suffered severe facial injuries.
Police await word on the cause and manner of death from Pueblo County Coroner James Kramer.
The bond for Lohnes was set at $300,000.
