WESTCLIFFE, Colo. (AP) -- An Amarillo man has died in Colorado after his motorcycle struck a deer that ran into the road.
Pueblo County Coroner James Kramer identified the victim as 51-year-old Jeromy Parker.
The Colorado State Patrol said Parker was the lead motorcycle in a pack of nine that was traveling north on Colorado 69 near Westcliffe about 5:30 p.m. Friday, when Parker struck a deer that ran into the road.
He was rushed to a Pueblo hospital, where he died.
Two men and a women, also from Amarillo, were also injured when their bikes crashed. A 49-year-old man and a 58-year-old woman who were sharing a bike were transported from the scene to a hospital.
