DENVER (AP) -- Another Colorado nurse has been arrested on suspicion of stealing a painkiller from a hospital.

Denver police say Cheri Jo Bechdolt was arrested Monday on a charge of obtaining a controlled substance by fraud. She's accused of taking syringes of the painkiller Dilaudid from Denver Health Medical Center.

Investigators say there's no evidence patients were harmed or denied medication.

No phone listing could be found for Bechdolt.

Two other nurses have been charged with stealing painkillers from St. Anthony Central hospital in Denver.

Also, federal prosecutors have accused a surgery technician of swapping dirty syringes for ones filled with painkillers meant for patients at Colorado hospitals, possibly exposing thousands to hepatitis C.
