GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (AP) -- A Longmont man accused in the 1975 stabbing deaths of a Grand Junction mother and her daughter is expected in court to determine whether there's enough evidence for him to stand trial.
Authorities say 64-year-old Jerry Nemnich is tied to the crimes through DNA evidence. He was arrested in April and is being held at the Mesa County jail on $3 million bail.
He will be in court Wednesday morning.
Details of his arrest affidavit have not been released. He is charged with first-degree murder, felony murder and burglary in the deaths of 24-year-old Linda Benson and her 5-year-old daughter, Kelley.
Nemnich's wife, Paula, has said she doesn't believe the allegations.
