COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) -- A YMCA camp in the mountains northwest of Colorado Springs has canceled some overnight sessions so it can repair buildings damaged by heavy summer rain.
A kitchen, dining hall and lodge are undergoing repairs at Camp Shady Brook, operated by the YMCA of the Pikes Peak Region. The camp is near Deckers, about 30 miles northwest of Colorado Springs.
Repairs are expected to be finished by Sept. 1. No cost estimate was available.
YMCA spokeswoman Wendy Brez says about 400 campers were displaced by the repairs. They were given the option of getting refunds or applying their payments toward another session.
