COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) -- Authorities say a car being pursued by deputies ran a red light in Colorado Springs and crashed into two other cars, sending at least three people to area hospitals.
El Paso County Sheriff's Lt. Lari Sevene says deputies were responding to a call Sunday afternoon when the suspect raced away.
Sevene says the deputies had to wrestle the suspect to the ground after the crash. The suspect, a passenger in his car and at least one other person in one of the other cars were taken to hospitals. Their conditions weren't available.
No names were released, and it's not clear what kind of complaint deputies were responding to when the chase began.
