ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK, Colo. (AP) -- The Boulder County coroner has identified the man who died near the summit of Longs Peak as 61-year-old Maynard Grant Brandsma of Durango.

The coroner's office released Brandsma's name Tuesday but hasn't listed the cause of death.

Park officials say Brandsma was about 110 yards from the top of the 14,259-foot peak in Rocky Mountain National Park on Monday morning when he had heart trouble.

The officials say Brandsma was hiking with friends, but it wasn't clear if he was climbing or descending.

They say bystanders performed CPR on him for about a half hour.
