PUEBLO, Colo. (AP) -- Pueblo authorities are trying to determine how a 9-month-old girl found in a trash bin died.

An autopsy for the baby is planned Monday. Cadaver dogs led police to her body Friday evening behind a Safeway.

Pueblo police arrested 22-year-old Kevin Buehler on suspicion of first-degree murder by a person in a position of trust. Buehler is the girl's cousin.

Pueblo police Sgt. Eric Bravo says the girl's parents, Selena Olson and Ted Perez, are not suspects in the case. The Pueblo Chieftain reports Olson had checked herself into drug rehab Friday and Perez was in jail on unrelated charges at the time.

The Pueblo County Department of Social Services had legal custody of the girl but she was in the care of her grandmother.
