Armed robbers bind victim and said they'd throw the baby off the balcony
COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Just after 2 p.m. Wednesday, officers were dispatched to Summit Creek Apartments, 1940 S. Chelton Blvd., on report of an armed robbery.
Police reports say a black male posing as a city utilities employee was allowed to enter an apartment to check the water pressure.
Three black male suspects forced their way into the apartment as the first suspect was leaving.
One of the suspects had a gun and demanded that she tell them, "where the stuff was."
The 20-year-old female victim was bound with flex ties and duct tape.
The suspects threatened to take a 10-month-old child or to throw the child off the second-floor balcony unless they found what they needed. One of the suspects held the baby.
The suspects ransacked the apartment and sat the baby on the couch, and left taking valuables.
The suspect vehicle was a maroon SUV with dark windows.
