DENVER -- A line of thunderstorms rolled through metro Denver Sunday afternoon, spawning at least one tornado and other funnel clouds.
A tornado warning was issued for much of the Denver area shortly after 1 p.m. when the isolated storms gained strength as they moved off the foothills and over the plains.
A confirmed tornado touched down in the south Denver area, causing damage at Southlands Mall in Aurora. Ambulances were dispatched as reports of injuries were called in. Some of the injuries were believed to be caused by golf ball-sized hail which fell in the area.
