BOULDER, Colo. (AP) -- Boulder school officials are trying to decide whether to cancel school Thursday at a middle school evacuated by an asbestos scare.

The Camera says nearly 500 students and staff were cleared from Southern Hills Middle School Wednesday morning because of a construction incident that may have released asbestos. Details weren't made public.

Southern Hills students spent the day in the gym of nearby Fairview High School. Officials were testing construction debris to decide whether to cancel classes Thursday at Southern Hills.

No injuries have been reported.
