Five hours of work at Northgate interchange overnight
COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Asphalt inspection work on Interstate 25 will result in one-lane traffic and traffic delays from 9 p.m. Wednesday, March 18, until approximately 2 a.m. Thursday.
Lane closures will begin in the northbound left lane at 9 p.m. and continue throughout the evening until all northbound and southbound lanes have been inspected.
Schmidt Construction crews will inspect the bridge at the Northgate interchange and a box culvert just north of the bridge.
The work is in preparation for completion this spring of a Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) paving project which took place during night-time hours last summer in the northbound and southbound lanes of Interstate 25 from just south of the Northgate interchange north to the El Paso/Douglas County line.
