Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Taylor Gwaltney, 18, is urged to contact the CSPD
COLORADO SPRINGS, COLORADO -- Colorado Springs police are searching for Taylor Gwaltney, 18, of Colorado Springs. Gwaltney is wanted for the death of David Doyle, 54, on February 5, 2009.
Doyle's body was found on the pedestrian bridge over I-25 near Monument Valley Park. Doyle was a transient member of the community his death was ruled a homicide due to head trauma.
Gwaltney is a white male, 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing 175 pounds, with blonde hair and blue eyes. He has tattoos on both forearms to include the word "butcher" on his right forearm.
Gwaltney's father, Jonathon Gwaltney of Twin Lakes, CO, said he was surprised to hear of his son's allegations.
"Taylor's a good kid." Pointing out his son has not been convicted of the crime, Gwaltney said Taylor is "an innocent victim right now. I totally love him and believe that this has some how been turned around on him."
Gwaltney said his son, who was born in Crosby, TX, has lived in Colorado Springs for the past three years. "He's an 'A/B' student. He's a sharp kid. He's into the culinary arts."
On Taylor's MySpace page his screen name is "Butcher King." Under occupation it's listed as "gangster" and "Who I'd like to meet: my good twin…lol."
