COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- The Fifth Annual CC Fashion Show will be held on Friday, Feb. 6, at the Edith Kinney Gaylord Cornerstone Arts Center, 825 N. Cascade Ave. Doors open at 7:30 p.m., and the show begins at 8 p.m. Tickets are $10 in advance at the Worner Campus Center, 902 N. Cascade Ave, and $12 at the door. Fifteen percent of the proceeds will go to the Colorado Springs chapter of “Dress for Success,” which provides professional attire for low-income women.
This year’s theme, “Andamo ex Machina” or “To Fall in Love with a Machine,” explores the relationship between fashion and the industrial world. Thirty-two new and returning designers will clad 196 diverse student models in pieces that experiment with everything from screen printing to jewelry to formal gowns.
The show, the first student-held event at the new Cornerstone Arts Center, will make use of its stark, industrial interior to explore the relationship between fashion and “la machina.”
The fashion show is funded by CC Arts and Crafts, the CC Sewing Club, and the Colorado College Student Government Association
