*  Today is the last day to attend the Chamber Orchestra of the Springs "Christmas Through the Ages" event. It started last year with great success. The event includes dessert and Christmas wassail. Tickets are $45 per person and the music begins a 7 p.m. at Glen Eyrie Castle, 3820 N. 30th St., Colorado Springs. Phone is 719-634-0808.

* Pet owners dealing with tough economic times will be able to feed their loved ones thanks to a food drive from the Pikes Peak Pet Pantry. The food drive goes until January 1 and the goal of the event is to raise at least 2,000 pounds of dog and cat food. All donations will be given to pet owners who are struggling financially in hopes that they can feed their pets properly and keep them home. to donate pet food visit the Healthy Pets Animal Hospital located at 5195 Fontaine Blvd. in Fountain, St. Francis Animal Hospital, 8834 N Union Blvd., Western Hills Apartments at 810 Western Dr., or Secure Care Self Storage located at 4729 Astrozon Blvd

*  At 6 p.m. today Glen Eyrie Castle also hosts the annual Christmas Madrigal Banquet. The event includes a five-course meal, songs, dancing and tales presented by the Lord and Lady of the castle. It's a Renaissance Christmas beyond compare. Visit www.gleneyrie.org for ticket information.
