* Nearly 1400 surviving children and spouses of fallen U.S. military personnel embarked on an all-expense paid trip to Disneyland this morning thanks to Snowball Express. The company is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization that provides joy for the lives that have been shattered by the loss of a loved one. American Airlines is providing the majority of the airfare and six chartered aircrafts will be making their way to southern California this morning. The first flight left Colorado Springs airport at noon today. Before departure families enjoyed face painting, karaoke, food and other fun activities while they waited.* Today is the last day to mail your letter to Santa Claus! To help with the mailing frenzy the Colorado Springs post office is helping Santa receive all of his mail. Also helping is the Pioneers Museum. There is a table set up and a special mail box for Santa letters only from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. today at 215 S.Tejon St. The post office is urging residents to put a return address on letters before mailing them to ensure Santa's elves answer each and every piece of mail.
