One year after two were killed at the Youth with a Mission training center in Arvada
ARVADA, COLO. (AP) -- Arvada city officials have unveiled a memorial to the victims of a shooting at a missionary school one year ago today.
A black marble plaque unveiled late yesterday bears etched portraits of 26-year-old Tiffany Johnson and 24-year-old Philip Crouse, who were shot and killed last Dec. 9 by Matthew Murray at the Youth with a Mission training center.
Two other people were wounded. Johnson's mother, Diane Jacobson of Hibbing, Minn., attended the unveiling of the plaque.
Hours after the Arvada shootings, Murray shot and killed 16-year-old Rachel Works and her 18-year-old sister, Stephanie, outside New Life Church in Colorado Springs.
Murray then took his own life.
New Life will dedicate a memorial to those victims today.
