Dr. Carl Chevallard will conduct the Tuba Christmas concert this weekend in Colorado Springs.

"Tuba Christmas" has been in Colorado Springs for 18 years, though in existence for 35 years. It began in 1974 at Rockefeller Center.
This weekend, more than 70 tuba players will perform a free concert of Christmas carols at Acacia Park bandshell on Saturday, Dec. 6, at 4 p.m. It will be conducted by Dr. Carl Chevallard.
Parking is designated at the Young Life headquarters building, 420 N. Cascade Ave.
Tuba players who want to participate can register at 12:30 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 420 N. Nevada Ave. Rehearsal is set for 1:30 p.m. at the church. Musicians are advised to bring a folding music stand or lyre.
