COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. (AP) -- Colorado Springs police are investigating the cause of a motorcycle crash that left one person dead.
Authorities say 23-year-old Charles Galloway was riding beside a friend just before 2 p.m. Tuesday when Galloway lost control, hit a curb and was ejected from his motorcycle.
Galloway was thrown into a light pole. He was transported to a hospital where he later died.
Police say he was wearing a helmet.
Galloway's friend, 22-year-old Michael Stansberry, was riding his own motorcycle and was not hurt.
Investigators say drugs and alcohol are not suspected as factors in the crash.
