* The 2008 Job Fair sponsored by Goodwill, Milestone Business Center and El Paso County Department of Human Services is being held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel at 2886 S. Circle Dr., Colorado Springs. It runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Free bus service is available for job seekers at 17 Spruce St.
* Creekside Middle School seventh graders will work with foresters today to learn about the impacts of bark beetles while the students work to clean up trash as part of community service. They will be in the Woodmoor area. The event begins at 8:30 a.m.
* The brewing process begins today for an annual favorite, Pumpkin Ale, produced by Bristol Brewery. This year, the public can pick up a special Venetucci Pumpkin Ale pint glass. The first batch of the ale will be available on Oct. 30. All proceeds from sales are donated to Venetucci Farm in Colorado Springs.
