Fort Carson soldier arrested on several charges including sexual assault

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- A Fort Carson soldier has been arrested on several charges including sexual assault and child abuse.

The Fremont County Sheriff's Office said 27-year-old John Allen Dupree is accused of sexually assaulting his 26-year-old girlfriend twice in November at the girlfriend's parents home in western Fremont County.

Investigators said during one of the assaults the couple's infant son was reportedly placed in danger by Dupree's actions.

Dupree was arrested on December 13 by Fort Carson military police.

He is also being held on charges of domestic violence, unlawful sexual contact and false imprisonment.
