Springs police arrest man with stolen vehicle after crash

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs police arrested a man early Tuesday morning for stealing a vehicle.

At about 1:20 a.m., police were running license plates at the intersection of Chelton Road and Airport Road. Police said a stolen vehicle was located but the officer lost sight of it.

The vehicle was later found traveling north on Querida Drive. Police said the vehicle lost control and crashed at the intersection of San Miguel Street and Querida Drive.

The driver, identified as Kevin Stultz, ran away but was later caught by police. Stultz was charged for Motor Vehicle Theft and other traffic charges.
